Condorodus n. gen., a new Ordovician conodont genus from Argentina: origin, evolution and dispersal through the western margin of Gondwana

Ordovician conodont collections from several Argentinian basins including the Eastern Cordillera, Famatina and Precordillera allow recognition of a group conodonts that comprise new genus here named Condorodus n. gen. Species this have an apparatus composed six elements recovered so far: Pa, Pb, Sb1, Sb2, Sc Sd. The differences mainly between P support recognizing three species, older to younger: C. diablensis gen., sp., gracielae sp. chilcaensis appeared in upper Floian (Lower Ordovician) vanished middle Darriwilian time (Middle Ordovician). Cordillera is assumed as place origin lineage during late Floian, then dispersed through western margin Gondwana, reaching early Darriwilian, there it could different regions Perigondwana Laurentia probably give rise apparatuses similar morphology Late Ordovician.
